About the Speaker
Gernot is Deputy Head of the Stress-Test-Expert Division at the ECB. He had a leading role in building-up the SSM’s stress testing capabilities from stress-testing strategy and frameworks to methodology and IT. He held leading roles in the 2021 EBA/SSM stress test and in the ECB’s Covid-19 Vulnerability Analysis. Before joining the ECB in 2014 he was with Deutsche Bundesbank where he built-up the Centre of Competence for MBS and ABS and developed data-heavy applications for risk-analysis and onsite-inspections. He holds a PhD in experimental physics
