About the Speaker

Mr. Echeverría is Deputy Director General Statistics at the European Central Bank (ECB). In this role, he oversees the collection and analysis of granular financial and supervisory data, which support the ECB’s monetary policy, financial stability, and supervisory functions. He holds a Master’s degree in Economic Sciences and Business Studies from the University of the Basque Country (Bilbao, Spain), as well as a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain). He also completed a postgraduate Master’s program in Accounting and Auditing at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). Between 2011 and 2015, he was also a member of the Advisory Expert Group on National Accounts (AEG). Mr. Echeverría has authored several articles and delivered presentations at international seminars and workshops on statistics.
